Rubber Duck Racing
Sunday afternoon, first week of August, at 2 pm, the Burrillville, RI
Parks & Recreation Department & the Burrillville Lions Club present the 4th
Annual “Adopt A Duck” Race.
Gather on the Shippie Bridge, over the Branch River, located on Sherman Farm
Road (Route 98, one-quarter mile north of Harrisville village) to adopt your own
rubber duck to participate.
Tickets to adopt a rubber duck are $10 each and will be available one hour
before the race. Proceeds will help to benefit the maintenance of the town’s
parks, along with the RI Children’s Caner Fund and the Lions Club Sight
Foundation.
People with the top three rubber ducks to float across the finish line will win
cash prizes as follows: First Place-$500, Second Place-$250, Third Place-$100.
Burrillville is a beautiful rural community of 58 square miles located in the
