Rubber Duck Racing

Sunday afternoon, first week of August, at 2 pm, the Burrillville, RI Parks & Recreation Department & the Burrillville Lions Club present the 4th Annual “Adopt A Duck” Race.

Gather on the Shippie Bridge, over the Branch River, located on Sherman Farm Road (Route 98, one-quarter mile north of Harrisville village) to adopt your own rubber duck to participate.

Tickets to adopt a rubber duck are $10 each and will be available one hour before the race. Proceeds will help to benefit the maintenance of the town’s parks, along with the RI Children’s Caner Fund and the Lions Club Sight Foundation.

People with the top three rubber ducks to float across the finish line will win cash prizes as follows: First Place-$500, Second Place-$250, Third Place-$100.
